Medical Exercise Therapy (MET) is the process of performing patient specific exercises, for a determined injury or pathology, while factoring in details such as sets, repetitions, resistance, starting/ending positions, range of motion, speed of movement, and type of muscle contraction.  In addition physical therapists utilizing MET will take into consideration any contraindications to treatment in the patient’s medical history.
